Adventures in Ogden

So Tanner and I went up to Ogden on tuesday to go to the rodeo with Katy and Micah!! I was sooo excited b/c I never been to one before! We got there before Katy and Micah and it started to rain and we didnt' have jackets so we decided to run to the nearest store real quick to pick up some jackets... and snacks... on our way out of the parking lot our dreams of watching cowboys on bulls and horses was destroyed!! :( we never made it to the rodeo that night.....

so we are A-OK only a scratch/bruise on my arm and tanner has a bump on his head from the side window! but we made it out ok... this is his sister's new car that she just got about a month ago (with tanner's parents help) and it will be no more... tanner said that since the actual body frame is destroyed and twisted that it is totalled... sad...
so tanner and i were pulling out of the parking lot and trying to make a left hand turn on five lane road (with the middle lane being a turning lane) and there was a red light on the right of us at the intercection so the car in the nearest lane stopped to let us in... tanner started to creep out b/c there was no one coming and i guess the kid behind the car that stopped for us didn't want to stop til he got to the red light so he went around him at full speed right at tanner and i... and didn't stop til he was a millisecond from hitting us. tanner saw him and stopped (and we weren't out very far) leaving him room to barely go around us and slow down... but he decided not to i guess... he HAD been drinking prior to this but since he passed the sobriety test that the cop gave him 2 HOURS AFTER the accident (when they finally decided to send someone)! the guy who let us in stayed to be a witness to the cop and he told the cop it was the otehr kids fault from what he could tell, but the cop didn't bother to take down the witness's information either.... stupid!!!so yea, katy and micah came over and took us home and hung out for the next 3 hours waiting for the cop to show up and get everything in order and micah made friends with the po po.

and this is the retard who hit us' car, yea barely no damage what so ever!!! so the driver of this car was only 18 and had just barely got his license, had been drinking that day, wasn't wearing a seatbelt so he hit his head on the windshield, speeding, and didn't have insurance on the car... FABULOUS!!
