these are my cowgirl and cowboy... the pumpkins were too big to trace one of those designs on so i just drew these... tanner's brother dressed up as a cowboy so it was my inspiration i guess...
So I was SO EXCITED about doing this one... it came out pretty cool... the bigger pumpkin is one of the 80 lbs.-ers it was HUGE!!! and everyone thought the little pumpkin was eating too but he's suppose to be getting squished (his guts coming out of his mouth) and he's frowning and you can't tell and the way the bigger ones' mouth is carved made it really looked like he was trying to take a bite out of him... it was way cool... (i carved those 2 by myself)

WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!!! too bad the school around here is Bingham and they stole the red sox B as their own so everyone thought it was for Bingham High... we had to explain that one all night
scared little ghost
this pumpkin is another 80 lbs-er and it was soo cool because it grew horizontally so the place where the stem is is actually on the right (you can kinda see the light escaping out)... there was no way we could make it stand upright...

And when katy renee and i all finally got back to the apartment our room mate wanted us all to stay up and watch a scary movie with her so we all watched Premonition (well katy was asleep)... not scary but suspenseful and good... and i guess i'll post some pictures later of my halloween candy spoils... i think it beats any that i ever made as a kid.. o and then ended the night with stories of girls around here in the apartmentswho have said they have woken up to a guy watching them sleep... nice... i don't sleep as well as use to anymore...

Ok so this picture has nothing to do with halloween but its cute... tanner keeping dew happy before church... but i guess the weekend pictured is the weekend that kicked off our halloween celebrating... on friday night tanner and i took the boys (colbyn and daxten) down to thanksgiving point where they had a ton of fun kid things set up... we went through a corn maze, took a jack-o-lantern hayride, watched a (fake, mechanical) chicken show, and then using hay they set up slides and just hay to climb on and also a maze, and they had a bunch of wooden trains and tractors and cars to play in... it was fun... too bad it was way windier and colder down there than we were expecting so we didn't really dress the boys warm enough for the conditions.. but it was way fun to take them, then we ended the night with a trip to wendy's, the boys had a lot of fun and so did tanner and I!!
Aleisha put the boys costumes on early and took them around the block before she had to go to work... this is Dax the Dinosaur
This is Colbyn the skunk... in the back of the costume it has a heart that says lil stinker... too cute!
So this is the beginning of a long nite of pumpkins... Tanners pumkins got so big that this is how we had to transport them from the back of the house to the front, just so we could get them close enough to carry inside... the biggest one was 81 pounds!!!!!
Dew and I weren't much help at this part of the process because they were WAY to heavy, so we just sat on the pumpkins...
This is the beginning of the carving process... you can tell because tanner's parents are still involved... dax and dew were completely grossed out by the insides and wouldn't touch it so they kinda just sat there til they got bored.
This is all of the pumpkins at the very end of the night... after about 4 and half hours of pumpkin carving.. tanner and i got pretty addicted and we wanted to get as many of them as we could done before we left... we had about 20 pumpkins... all of them oddly shaped which made carving them even funner... in all tanner and i carved i think 10 pumpkins and his dad did 3... we got a pretty good system going by the end... tanner would use the saw's all (thats the thompson family secret to pumpkin carving) and take off the top, i would clean out the center and draw on the design and start carving until tanner finished the current pumpkin he was working on then i would pass it off to him to finish the carving, he we go get me a new one from outside and we'd start it all over again. everyone that came up though LOVED the pumpkins and everyone said they thought they were the coolest pumpkins and house!
These three are tanner's dads, he didn't feel like cleaning out the center of the last one which made for a cool effect...

Those are some awesome pumpkins. Did you finish taking dewey and dax trick or treating?
Where'd you get your candy stash?
I'm sure the pumpkins are cool Our special monitor/sub is not good with pictures :(.
I remember seeing those pumpkins growing!
What a fun activity. Looks like you've got a lot of creativity there, Boodie.
These are truly amazing!
