Tie-Dyed

So here are our collection of "tied-dyed" eggs. We did these first two with one of Tanner's ties just to see if it would work and it did so we went to Saver's and got a few more! We actually can't use the eggs from the farm b/c none of them are white, so we used some that were in the outside fridge that had expired in December! This actually caused a problem because the eggs float when being boiled and so one side of the eggs didn't have a good ink transfer! We did one of every type of tie the first time around with letting them float. So for the second round we did them with a plate on top of the eggs so they wouldn't float up which then made the ink all blurry. But they still were pretty cool and fun to do! The one on the right is one that got the plate on top of it, so the pattern isn't so clear.

The purple one didn't transfer so well, they are way light.

This one was cool b/c it showed up unexpectedly, I didn't htink it would come up orange

And this tie was just dumb and also showed up way light but the pattern on the bottom of the egg is way cool!

The green ones are my favorite! Once again the one on the right had the plate on it to keep it under water, so it's blurry!

This one turned out really good too! The one on the far right was done on one of the green eggs from the farm.

These were way fun and we only broke one egg in the process (actually I only broke one)! We will probably have more eggs to post soon, since Tanner and I love decorating eggs and there are still another 2.5 dozen rotten eggs left out in the fridge! Rotten as in you shouldn't eat them but they actually don't stink or seem any different then regular eggs.
